We sing together to create the world we want to live in through our song, singing from many sources—Thich Nhat Hanh, 12th c. Hildegard von Bingen, Scots Gaelic, local singer/composers Laurence Cole and Gretchen Sleicher, and many more from the community singing tradition.
Singing is known to help connect us to ourselves and to each other, as well as to calm the nervous system. We all need more of that in our lives.
I teach each chant line by line so you can follow along, and then we sing all together. Because of the nature of Zoom (delays due to intermittent connection), you’ll only be able to hear and sing with my voice, but you’ll be able to see others and have the visual experience of singing and being together. You don’t need to be a “singer”—just come and add your voice and heart full of good intentions!
To join, contact me on the right sidebar for the Zoom link no later than 6:00 on the day of the chanting if possible. Once we’ve started I won’t be able to respond to emails.
Skipping April: 1st Sundays: Evensong, 4:00-4:45 pm PT

Because we will be offering an Easter Fire Sunrise Service, we will skip the April Evensong. See more info on Easter Fire below.
Join me and Elisabeth Haight for a 45-minute, contemplative Christian music prayer service that draws on the Celtic Christian and Taize traditions.
We meet at the Cotton Building as our indoor location during the cooler months. (During the warm months, we meet outside at Chetzemoka Park in the shelter of the lovely trees and sacred land.)

4th Saturdays: Wild Church Port Townsend
Fort Townsend, 10:00-11:30 am, with Katy
An opportunity to gather in and with creation, with other folks, and with the other beings on this earth. Join me, your guide, to practice moving from human being to earth being, in reverence and respect for earth.
Welcoming all those journeying into deeper relationship with earth, regardless of religion or belief. No affiliation with QUUF necessary.
We meet outside, rain, (snow), or shine, unless the conditions are severe enough to pose a safety concern. Please dress for the weather, in particular for rain, mud, and slippery ground.
We meet in circle, share some opening words, songs & practices, and then wander in silence. Staying in the circle is also an option. We then reconvene to share our experience. Children are welcome, but parents need to help guide them. Bring a chair, a warm drink, and maybe even a lap blanket!
Directions: Discover Pass required to drive in. Find us under the big Doug Fir in the middle of the field (red mark in right mid map). As you come all the way into the Fort, just before the official booth, follow the Day Use Area sign to the left and park. In the field below is our Doug Fir. For more level walking, continue on the road, parking on end of field opposite bathrooms.
Remember: Bring a chair, a warm drink, and dress for the weather!

Dress warmly, bring seating if you like, and there will be a fire and hot drinks. If you would like to help out with readings, let us know.
